Friday Finds: Bryant Park Holiday Market

When working so close to Bryant Park, we can’t help but feel festive during the holiday season. There is so much to do at their Holiday Market that pops up every year and to keep it as least overwhelming as possible, we’re breaking down the must-dos!

    1. Ice skating: Every year Bank of America goes all out with their “Winter Village” in the middle of the park. You can rent a pair of skates and hit the ice at New York’s only free admission rink, or you can hang out on the side and have a cup of hot chocolate from the Public Fare pop up. Additionally, you can sit on the second floor of the pavilion that overlooks the rink while watching skaters and playing some free games that are provided.
    2. Holiday Shops: The shopping at the park is the main event. You can weave in and out of the open-air market and see the best of New York’s small businesses. Our favorites are Jewels by Atlantis, Melsey Illustrations, and All Across Africa. You can get all your holiday shopping done here – there is something for everyone!
    3. Market Eats: This our favorite part of the holiday market: the food. You can grab snacks and walk around the park under all the twinkly lights. Our favorite places are DŌ Cookie Dough Confections, JARS by Dani, and Sigmund’s Pretzels and Brats. There are the regular Bryant Park green chairs and tables available to sit amongst the market.

Whether you buy gifts for everyone you know and eat yourself in a coma or not, we highly recommend going and being part of the experience. I’m sure we can all agree that there is a magic in the air in NYC during the holidays and the level of magic reaches new heights at the Bryant Park winter wonderland!
